The smart thermostat isn’t the newest gadget on the market. But the thermostat is a practical product for every house or apartment.

Which are the best smart thermostats 2019?

 

Honeywell’s Lyric T5:

The thermostat from Honeywell is around 150 CHF and a cheap product. The installation is very simple and despite the low price, the thermostat can save about the same amount of money as its more expensive competitors. The product is small and compact. Although the display has little space, most of the information has nevertheless found room on it.

To use the Honeywell Lyric T5 the Lyric app can be used. You can also access the thermostat with the Apple Homekit / Siri and Amazon Alexa.

Lux Kono smart thermostat:

The Lux Kono is a cheap thermostat on the market and is around 120 CHF. It is priced with the Lyric T5 on the same line, as well as with the size. The Lux Kono does not have the same size display as the Lyric T5 or Nest’s thermostat. Unfortunately, too little information is directly visible. Due to the missing touch display, the direct operation is a lot more difficult.

Siri, Google home assistant and Alexa can be used for the operation. You can also access the Lux Kono directly via the thermostat or the Lux app.

Nest thermostat (T3007ES):

The Nest Thermostat is a high-end thermostat. But it shines with a beautiful design and its ease of use. It is comparable to the functions with the Lyric T5. The Nest Thermostat calculates the daily routine of the people and changes the temperature based on this process. With the app, it is also possible to see the saved energy and money saved.

The app can be used to operate the thermostat. The touch display is also suitable. With the Alexa voice assistant, the operation of the thermostat is also possible.

Nest offers a simplified version of the standard Nest Thermostat. The Nest Thermostat E is around 170 CHF and hasn’t a metal frame. The E version hasn’t any color options too. In addition, the E version has a weaker resolution and is only compatible with 85% of al HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.
